Export your data
How do I download everything as JSON?
You have kept two profiles and a set of applications in Portage demo, and you want a copy of all of it on your own computer. Portage exports everything in the workspace as one JSON file.
Download the export
You must be the workspace's owner or an admin.
- In the sidebar, open Plan & billing.
- Under Your data, select Export my data.

Your browser saves a file named for the day, such as portage-export-2026-10-20.json. Other
members see "Only owners and admins can export." when they try.
What is in the file
The file is one JSON object. exportedAt gives the time of the export, and every other key
holds the rows of one kind of record.
| Key | What it holds |
|---|---|
workspace | The workspace's name, plan and status |
users, tenant_members | Everyone who signs in to the workspace, and their roles |
candidate_profiles | Each profile, with its sections under their own keys, such as educations, employments, profile_skills, profile_languages, permits and stays |
applications | Tracked applications, with application_events, interviews and application_statuses |
saved_searches, job_matches, route_evaluations | Searches, and how jobs were ranked and checked for each profile |
private_jobs, job_imports | Jobs you added by hand or pasted |
employer_watches, employer_notes | Employers you follow and your notes on them |
application_materials, documents | CVs and letters, and the uploaded files' names, types and sizes |
notifications, notification_preferences | Notices and each member's email settings |
audit_log | Every entry from Activity |
subscriptions, billing_events | Your plan's subscription and its payment events |
The export holds the workspace's records only. It does not contain the files you uploaded,
such as a CV as a PDF; documents lists them. It does not contain job postings Portage found
from public sources, or immigration rules, which are not yours.
Each export runs at the moment you select the button, so it always holds what is there now.
